Tarantino Live Where To Watch Quentin Tarantino Movies On Stage

Quentin Tarantino’s fans can watch some of his iconic movies come to life in “Tarantino Live: Fox Force Five & The Tyranny of Evil Men,” a hybrid theater experience that immerses audiences in Tarantino’s Cinematic Universe. Described as a “postmodern cabaret experience,” the 90-minute show takes place at The Bourbon Room in Los Angeles through the end of September, and features a combination of Broadway-style live action scenes coupled with songs from Tarantino films including, “Pulp Fiction,” “Kill Bill,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Jackie Brown,” and “The Hateful Eight.” The show has been around for a while but during quarantine last year, director Anderson Davis made some changes — like incorporating “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” into the lineup.

“That love letter to Hollywood and all of those classic songs from the very Tarantino era, that late ’60s early ’70s sound,” Davis said to Spectrum News 1. ‘Tarantino Live’ invites audiences to enjoy a one-of-a-kind theater experience, featuring female characters from Tarantino’s movies. The show’s official description reads, “Follow the Fox Force Five — a group of fierce female superwomen popularized in ‘Pulp Fiction’ — as they join forces to take care of business and fight the Tyranny of Evil Men with Tarantino’s quintessential soundtrack in the background.”

“Tarantino Live” is produced by For the Record, a unique theatrical series that reimagines legendary movies as live productions told through musical soundtracks. General admission tickets to “Tarantino Live” start at $49; VIP starts at $89. The shows run Thursdays through Sundays, but as you might imagine, tickets are selling out quickly due to the Labor Day weekend. For those of you who want to kick off the holiday weekend with a trip to the theater, there are tickets still available for September 2, 3, and 5. As for the rest of the month, fans shouldn’t have as much trouble finding tickets from September 9 through September 30. The Bourbon Room, which was home to the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages,” shut down last March due to the pandemic. It reopened this past May, and like other venues and businesses, the theater has put health guidelines in place to combat the spread of COVID. For example, all guests are required to wear face masks (when not eating or drinking). Audience members must also provide proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test taken within 48 hours of the show, and you must be at least 18 for admission. Meanwhile, Tarantino will be attending another fan experience in London this week. The 58-year-old director is set to appear at “An Evening With Quentin Tarantino” at Alexandra Palace Theater on Thursday. The sold-out event celebrates the release of his debut novel, “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood,” and will feature a conversation between Tarantino and English journalist and film critic Kim Newman. Tarantino will share his “life-long passion for movie novelizations” and explore why he wanted to turn “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” into a novel.
